The third release from these bearers of Irish Doom is yet another spectacular album chock full of pain and anguish. The writing style on this album is slightly more adventurous than on the previous release yet hardly progressive. The guitars are heavy and threatening on this album from the get go. They have an incredibly menacing feel that bodes well with the slow rhythms and bleak landscape. A Murderous Circus once again brings back the nostalgia of the good old days of death/doom metal and that alone should make it worthy of praise.
