After a lenghty hiatus, Norway’s foulest thrashers are back to crack open your skull and piss on your lawn. Infernö formed in 1995 by key members of Ved Buens Ende, Lamented Souls and Beyond Dawn to play thrash as it was meant to be, in the eighties fashion of bands like Kreator, Sodom and Destruction. Releasing two albums; ‘Utter Hell’ and ‘Downtown Hades’ in 1996 and ’98 respectively, on Osmose Prod., and touring Europe with Enslaved and Absu, the four-piece earned a notorious reputation for their loud, hellraising metal and neck-snapping live performances. In 1999 the band decided to put things on hold for a while to concentrate on other projects. Now they are back though and preparing their third album ‘On Earth As It Is In Hell’ to be released on Duplicate in 2005. Meanwhile, we are thrilled to present a taster in the form of a choice vinyl featuring two of the strongest Infernö tracks ever, ‘Thrash Metal Dogs of Hell’ and ‘Death Squad’, both in recordings exclusive to this release.
